Hello! I am Siewhui, the baking fairy behind My Muffin Musings. So excited that you have discovered us and can't wait to share my baking adventures with you!

My humble baking journey kickstarted in 2012 on a whim to recreate muffins from my favourite bakery. Over the years, my love for baking gradually evolved into experimenting with unique flavour combis and elevating ordinary comfort bakes to something extraordinary. Here at My Muffin Musings, I hope to bring you familiar rustic feel-good treats yet with an extra pizzazz. That being said, I still love me a good ol' slice of chocolate cake so no bakes are discriminated here! Choosing a bake should be very personal so go forth and customise a flavour combo you want to try. I look forward to feeding you all with yummy treats :)

From all the years of baking and the frightening amount of sugar ingested LOL, I definitely recognise the importance of nourishing your body and moderation. Hence, My Muffin Musings fully stands by honest baking, creating components of each bake from scratch and using only quality ingredients without any added preservatives. We are currently working on a category of bakes under 'Clean Enough' where whole food, refined sugar free, dairy-free, grain-free and vegan options are available for you to enjoy something indulgent yet healthful.
For those of you who love baking, I hope the blog can help inspire you in your baking journey. As someone obsessed with cookbooks, I am often extremely excited but overwhelmed with numerous recipes to try out which unfortunately always drives me back to baking the same recipes I'm comfortable with! Hence, I created this blog to get myself out of a baking rut and picking a new challenge every month to try out new recipes, techniques and different types of baked goods! Let's be friends and feel free to whisk butter & sugar alongside me in the blog as we (try to) bake through a cookbook per month together!
